Contemplation this week... Sometimes in life's journey, you have to get LOST to truly FIND yourself. Like any opposites, one ceases to exist without the other. If you were one in a crowd getting a guided tour through a foreign city, it would surprise me greatly if you remembered the route in any detail. However, if you explored a new place alone on foot and allowed yourself to really get a feel for the place - even if you didn't know exactly where you'd end up - you would eventually develop a sense of the right direction for you. The same theory can be applied to life. Everyone is on their own journey. There is no right or wrong. Some folk prefer the reassurance of a SatNav, because unknown territory can feel uncomfortable or disconcerting. These personalities are either experiencing self-doubt (and may criticise you for going your own way), or they might just enjoy the safety of not having to think for themselves. I say, each to their own. Personally, I find excitement from wandering. The experience brings growth, and development. I have had to explore many untrodden paths in order to build this business, and though the finding my way out of the maze has meant facing new challenges, I have learned so much. Returning once more to the wise wizard's poem, the wanderers he refers to are Rangers. Although these characters protect people from evil forces, they are treated with suspicion, like travellers and vagabonds. I encourage you to be a Ranger! Step outside your comfort zone, listen to your gut instinct, and don't follow the crowd because it is the easiest thing to do. Find your own unique journey, don't regret the lost adventures. All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king. See you next week! Charlotte
