From Flight & Fight – To Root & Play.
One of the biggest obstacles in our continued growth as adults is the distractions and routines of day to day life. Obligations, work, family, bills, social engagements and the need to check your emails to name a few. You are so busy getting stuff done, perhaps looking after everyone else, you lose touch with your actual needs and desires.
If you are anything like me you want to be happy, relaxed, have an easy air to everyday life, go on adventures (big and small), spend time with the people you love, and contribute positively on a wider scale. On top of that you might also want to get promoted, retire early, or start a family over the next 5 years. Wow. We really are a busy bunch!
How you can get from A to B can be a small step or a giant leap depending on how far away you currently are. But it is almost always possible to achieve, as long as we are acting from the heart and doing our best.
Your current distractions and routines are not unsurmountable brick walls. Even though they might feel like it.
Where on earth do you start though?! The second biggest obstacle.
Knowing you want positive change is one thing, but knowing how to clarify and create it is quite another.
My advice is always to start at the beginning.
The manifestation and creation process needs clarity, direction, and action. To give it that we need to find the source of our disquiet, understand it better, choose what we want in its place, and then align our new intentions with actions.
You can make it fun and joyful though. Doing things in the right order helps. That is where grounding practices come in. At the beginning! We ground to grow, right? Right.
Grounding practices can connect you to the source of your energy well and courage, to create the stability you need to see the wood from the trees.
