Reclined Cobblers Pose
December. With so much going on, and expectations so high it can be easy to get stressed. What better way to make sure you are ready for the hectic festive time than having a lie down and easing the tension out of those hips and lower backs.
Do you spend lots of time sat in a car, at a desk, carrying small children? Are you short on space and time? Do you have limited mobility or fitness? Are you stressed out? Try this simple set of 6 seated exercises. They focus on the shoulders and neck so do be careful if you have any injuries in these areas.
As always, if anything hurts or catches stop and adjust, or skip. Don't do anything that doesn't feel right. And always ask your doctor if you are unsure this is right for you.
I hope you enjoy and relax!
November. Animals begin to Hibernate for winter. Ooo, the weather gets colder, the nights are short. We know there is a busy festive time coming up. It is the perfect time to rest and conserve.
And so Novembers posture is Supported Child's Pose.
Here we bring the feet together, separate the knees and allow the abdomen the sink down in the space.
Last year I ran a couple of workshops at a festival, The Secret Garden Party. Sat round a table with some of the other people working in the Sanctuary area chatting, one of the specialist masseuses as a passing comment said to another "you could have been anyone 10 years ago".
