In my beautiful medow waiting for the right bee....
Give or take a false start of two, I have not had a ‘proper’ boyfriend for nearly 8 years. Am I bothered? No. It horrifies some people though. I believe I still experience true love every day even though I am single.
Love is a sense of togetherness within our self or our spirit. When we know we belong
here and now, in our own skin, in our own lives. Sometimes we meet another person and a bond is made. If the minds meet in true synchronicity a loving relationship is created.
We can focus on the need for someone else to make us happy, afraid to be alone, of our own company. Or we can look within and provide ourselves with the support, acceptance and love that will make us truly happy.
Love is everywhere, in every act and in every exchange of energy. You can choose to see the loneliness, the evil and unjust, the hatred, war and famine; to see the lack; to see singledom as a failure to be frustrated by or pitied.
Or you can see the love in every sanctuary offered to those in need, every act of fearless courage, of protection, charity and kindness; to see the abundance of love available for us all; to see singledom as an opportunity to grow.
We are capable of sharing love with everyone whenever possible. When we
do this we are never alone.
See you next week
I like to think I look like Miss Eccellente!
A love letter straight from myself! Valentines day is just around the corner. I found this wonderful card and, after a truly terrible week, decided it was a sign from the universe to remind myself that I love and accept myself.
I would show you what I wrote to myself - but it is personal ;)
Q. What can you do to show yourself some love today?
Even if you are expecting a grand romantic gestures this valentines day, grab a piece of paper or a card and create your own love letter to yourself. Tell yourself the things you do well, you like and love about yourself. Any positive message you need to hear now. Write it down and send it to yourself!
This does not make you crazy, or needy, or desperate! Writing down the things we love about ourselves is a way of over-writing anything negative that might be sneaking in or other people may be projecting onto you.
If you would like to join me in some reflective self-love then please feel free. And, as always you are welcome to share your personal experiences about exercises in reaffirming self-love in the comments below. I am going to leave my card out for now, and let my reassuring loving kindness sink in some more!
See you next week

With Valentines day approaching we are bombarded with messages about how to share with the one you love, gift ideas, cards, romantic restaurants etc etc etc etc etc.
What about us singles? Well, there is always the
special Valentines speed dating event at my favourite bar... hmmm... Actually, what if we could cut all of the marketing crap and take Valentines day to simply signify sharing love? What if this day can be a bit of fun and uplift us all no matter if we are single or in partnership.
All of this Valentines day hype got me thinking.....
